The PLANCK ETCS On-Board Test Bench simulates a train's vital electromechanical, pneumatic and external antenna signaling layers together with its signaling logic inside a portable dual-door industrial enclosure — engineered for fault detection, function verification and periodic calibration of on-board equipment in the field and at TCDD maintenance depots.
The PLANCK ETCS On-Board Test Bench is a compact, portable test station purpose-built for rapid fault diagnosis, function verification and periodic calibration of ERTMS/ETCS on-board equipment in field and depot conditions. It integrates the train's vital electromechanical, pneumatic and signaling layers into a single dual-door industrial enclosure.
The bench eliminates the operational overhead of conventional maintenance: it lets depot staff verify electromechanical parts (relays, contactors, valves) that are stocked as spares or removed from service before they are reinstalled on the train, and lets the external Eurobalise antenna / BTM assembly be tested for signal-transmission continuity in a laboratory environment.
Rigid steel mounting bracket links the external antenna assembly to the upper logic layer through shielded spiral wiring.
ETCS logic relay matrix is safely simulated via a color-coded terminal bridge with MCBs and protection fuses.
Electro-pneumatic valves reproduce service and emergency brake logic at millisecond resolution.
Dual-door sheet-metal enclosure on heavy-duty castors delivers full mobility inside the workshop.
